CULVER CITY, Los Angeles County — Culver City’s 2026 State of the City is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, at 6 p.m., at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Downtown Culver City.
The city’s October 29 announcement says Mayor Freddy Puza will reflect on the preceding year’s accomplishments and milestones while outlining priorities and opportunities ahead. City leaders and staff are expected to join the community at the event.
How do residents attend?
The city asks attendees to reserve tickets through its Eventbrite page. The announcement does not establish that seats will remain available until the day of the event, and residents should not assume that a general public announcement means a walk-in seat is guaranteed.
Why follow the address?
Unlike a regular City Council meeting, the State of the City is a community presentation at a theatre. It is a forum for reviewing the city’s progress, not automatically a venue for adopting ordinances or holding a public hearing.
Anyone wanting to scrutinize a claim made during the speech should later compare it with city budgets, published agenda materials and project records. Check the city’s announcement for accessibility and ticketing updates before attending.
