THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5 — NEWER COUNT. The Los Angeles Times’ election update reports 7,875 No votes and 6,487 Yes on Culver City’s Measure YV, a 1,388-vote No lead. The earlier source snapshot below had 7,357 No and 5,969 Yes. Both sides gained 518 selections, keeping the reported margin unchanged across these two snapshots. Measure YV concerns 16- and 17-year-old participation in certain local elections, not federal or statewide voting. The vote is still uncertified.
Earlier election-night count
CULVER CITY, Los Angeles County — November 2026. Culver City voters have given an early No majority on a proposal to allow some 16- and 17-year-old residents to participate in local elections.
Initial official-sourced figures
Measure YV: 7,357 No votes (55.21%) compared with 5,969 Yes (44.79%) in the current county-linked results display.
What the local result means
The proposed city charter amendment would allow eligible 16- and 17-year-old residents to vote in specified Culver City and Culver City Unified School District elections after funding and technical conditions were met. It would not authorize under-18 voting in federal or statewide elections. A simple majority is the approval threshold. The current No lead is provisional, not certified rejection.
Can the outcome change?
Yes. These figures are from the NBC Los Angeles live county election-results table after the November 3 vote. The page may refresh its data without showing the timestamp for each individual contest. The figures are therefore labeled a provisional snapshot, not a newly independently confirmed November 5 county bulletin. The county’s official canvass continues, and the final outcome requires certification.
